Thrive in the Hive – Communication Coaching & Leadership Development

Programme

The accelerator.

For the women who are already exceptional at what they do but whose expertise isn't yet matched by their visibility.

The gap between contribution and recognition doesn't close on its own. The expertise is there but the ability to articulate it, make it visible and use it strategically hasn't caught up. It's a value problem, a voice problem and a visibility problem - and they're connected.

The Accelerator doesn't just name these problems. Over three months, it systematically dismantles the patterns, the assumptions and the internal narratives that keep the gap open - and replaces them with strategy, language and courage.

Value starts with what's already there. Participants connect with their strengths and the impact they're actually making - then shift from describing effort to articulating organisational value. They explore what they're currently known for, whether that's aligned with where they want their career to go, and what needs to change. The session ends not with confidence - but with courage. Small, deliberate micro acts of courage that start embedding the change immediately.

Visibility confronts the assumption that quietly stalls more careers than it should: that good work speaks for itself. It doesn't. Decisions are influenced by networks, conversations and relationships - and research consistently shows that women are less likely to benefit from the informal sponsorship and strategic exposure that drives progression. Participants map their stakeholder landscape, identify visibility gaps, tackle the internal narratives that get in the way ("visibility feels like self-promotion," "senior leaders are too busy to approach") and leave with practical techniques for building influence authentically.

Voice is where value becomes visible. As professional visibility increases, speaking up can feel more exposing - ideas are tested more publicly, perspectives are questioned, and the well-documented double bind means women are often caught between authority and likeability. This session helps participants trust their judgement when speaking up, structure their ideas for impact, use snapshot stories to make their contribution memorable and speak with the certainty that makes people listen.

Between workshops, cohort sessions meet to apply the learning, share real situations and hold each other accountable. Two 1:1 coaching sessions provide the space for individual work on goals, challenges and development priorities.

The programme is delivered by an expert team combining expertise in communication, psychology and leadership - so participants get the strategic, the practical and the psychological in equal measure.

There is also the option to invite senior women from within the organisation to share their experience during the programme - bringing the learning closer to the culture and the career paths participants are navigating.

The programme runs with women-only cohorts. This is a deliberate design choice to give the challenges that shape female voice in the workplace space to be explored openly - and the shared experience builds a network that lasts well beyond the programme.
